July Beijing20 Women In Power And Decision Making E Discussion Logos

Despite increased acknowledgement of the added benefits of gender diversity in leadership in recent years, there continues to be a disproportion between women and men in decision-making roles in both the public and private sector. This disparity reveals structural and cultural barriers that limit the potential for women to become top-level managers, policy makers and executives in organizations worldwide, and demonstrates that a lack of women in leadership is still a concern 20 years after a global commitment was made to promote women in decision-making positions at The Fourth World Conference on Women (Beijing, 1995).
