WPL and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) are joining forces to deepen knowledge about inclusive growth and sustainable development, migration, tax policy, and environment, as well as parliamentarians’ role in fighting corruption. At the co-hosted meeting, which will take place in October 10-11 2019, in the framework of the bi-annual OECD Global Parliamentary Network Meeting, renowned speakers are sharing their innovative views on such theme while looking at the standards and the host of related measures provided for by the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions.
A special session on artificial intelligence (AI) will take place on October 11, the seconday day of the meeting. It will focus on discussing how members of Parliament can leverage the benfits of AI within the framework of OECD AI principles, the future of work and the impact AI might have on labour markets, as well as the interplay between AI, Science and Environment.
Every year, Women Political Leaders (WPL) is taking part in the bi-annual OECD Global Parliamentary Network Meeting, which gathers members of Parliament, experts and representatives from OECD countries to exchange views and best practices concerned with common social and economic challenges within the context of globalisation.
As an advocate for dialogue on sustainable socio-economic solutions to global issues, WPL strives to pursue equal participation of women leaders in such discussions as a means toward the collection of diverse, multidimensional perspectives on complex issues and the achievement of better solutions.
More information on the meeting will be shared shortly.
