The sixth edition of the Reykjavík Global Forum − Women Leaders is taking place soon!
The Reykjavik Global Forum was founded by WPL and the Government and Parliament of Iceland in 2017. Under the leadership of Silvana Koch-Mehrin, Founder and President of WPL, and Hanna Birna Kristjansdottír, Chair of the Reykjavik Global Forum, the Forum developed into a unique platform for women leaders to meet. Today, WPL is an important partner of the Reykjavík Global Forum. WPL ensures that the Reykjavik Community of women leaders remains anchored in the community of WPL. It will take place on 13-14 November 2023 in Reykjavik, Iceland.

“Representation Matters” at the Reykjavík Global Forum

Members of Parliaments (MPs) are invited to attend a session entitled ‘Voices of Parliaments’ hosted by WPL. The session topic is “Representation Matters”: A discussion that focuses on the correlation of women in political leadership positions and changes in policy and legislation.
The meeting will also look at the insights associated with the first edition of the WPL flagship initiative “Representation Matters Report”; a study based on findings of the University of Korea and in collaboration with the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership, King’s College. WPL will also co-host a plenary session about the report at the Reykjavík Global Forum.
