WPL Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Meeting at Concordia Americas Summit 2019

Women Political Leaders (WPL)  is hosting the WPL Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Meeting in Bogotá, Colombia on May 13th 2019. Invitees are female politicians from Latin America and the Caribbean, and the participation is by personal invitation only. The conference hosted by WPL, is in partnership with Concordia, in the context of the 2019 Concordia Americas Summit.

In particular, WPL is hosting two high-level roundtables on the 13th of May:

9.15 – 10-15 am : “Más allá de la tierra y el dinero: Mujeres
Emprendedoras y Su Participación Económica”

10.55 – 11.55 am: “Corrupción: ¿Cómo curar la enfermedad?”

Our Chair for the sessions will be Rosalía Arteaga Serrano, President (1997) and Vice President for Ecuador (1996-1998)

From the Women in Parliaments (WIP) Latin America Reunion in 2014 in Brazil, to the 2015 WPL Summit in Mexico and the 2016 WPL APEC Women Leaders meeting in Lima, Peru, WPL’s commitment in Latin America seeks to raise awareness about the importance of women empowerment in the region, and to continue efforts towards building determined communities of women political leaders across South America and the Caribbean.

Concordia is a non-partisan, member-based organization dedicated to actively fostering, elevating, and sustaining cross-sector partnerships for social impact. The 2019 Concordia Americas Summit is Concordia’s flagship regional convening in Latin America and is a continuation of the Concordia Americas Initiative, which was launched in Miami, Florida in 2016.
