Women Political Leaders appoints Olena Malynska as Chief Executive Officer

23 November 2021, Brussels – Women Political Leaders (WPL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Olena Malynska as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for WPL.

Since its inception, Women Political Leaders (WPL) strives to increase the number and influence of women in political leadership positions. In the past few years, the organisation has grown tremendously. In keeping with this, the organisation is strengthening its leadership team and has announced the appointment of Olena Malynska as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Malynska began her career as an auditor in the international auditing firm Arthur Andersen, working in Ukraine and the United States. She continued her career in financial institutions and has more than 20 years of experience in top executive positions in Ukrainian and international banks operating in Ukraine. Over the last 10 years, Malynska has been the CEO of medium and large Ukrainian banks and is one of the very few women CEOs in the banking industry of Ukraine. Commenting on her new role, Malynska said, “I am truly honored to lead this organisation as the CEO of WPL and look forward to working closely with the team. I am confident that my professional experience and expertise will contribute to further the growth and success of WPL and help advance WPL’s role in building a fair and sustainable future.” 

Malynska is very involved in social initiatives. She is the Chair, Kyiv Chapter, Young Presidents Organisation (YPO); Audit Committee Member, Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center in Kyiv; and Member, Board of Governors, Pechersk School International – International IB School in Ukraine. Malynska is also an alumna of the Aspen Institute Kyiv leadership programme, holds an MBA in business, a BA in law, and is currently attending INSEAD’s International Directors Programme.
