Kathy Calvin

Kathy Calvin served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the United Nations Foundation from 2003 until her retirement in 2019. Previously, in 1997, she was Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer for America Online, responsible for the company’s brand, external relations, and social responsibility efforts. She also served as President of the AOL Time Warner Foundation, guiding its philanthropic activities and working as chief architect of its corporate responsibility initiatives. From 1976 through 1984, Kathy served as press secretary to Gary Hart, both in his duties as a U.S. Senator and during his 1984 presidential run; she was among the first women to hold such an office in a U.S. presidential campaign.
