Women Political Leaders (WPL), as part of the 2025 Ibrahim Governance Weekend, will host a high-level leadership roundtable on ethical and inclusive governance of Artificial Intelligence (AI), with a spotlight on the FemAI Leaders for Africa Initiative. This session will convene African women political leaders, policymakers, AI governance experts, and stakeholders from public, private, and civil society sectors to discuss strategies for embedding gender-responsive principles in national and global AI governance frameworks.
This invitation-only roundtable aims to catalyse political leadership action, foster multi-sectoral collaboration, and promote African women’s leadership in shaping the future of AI governance.
