Time and location: Intercontinental Hotel, 15:30h-18:00h
Participants: Member State delegations, Parliamentarians, representatives from international institutions, private sector, civil society, as well as from inter-faith initiatives.

WIP in partnership with the United Nations Millennium Campaign, invite female Parliamentarians to join this multi-stakeholder exercise aimed at producing a position and roadmap, based on the outcome document of the Addis Ababa International Conference on Financing for Development.

This side-session will feature brief presentations on key financing issues, highlight specific financing needs vis-à-vis global needs, and include a discussion on the role of the multiple stakeholders in a post-Addis implementation plan. Taxation, as a tool to address the multiple challenges of inequalities, poverty and accountability/corruption will be central to the debate.

Special focus will be on engaging Parliamentarians in the follow up of the Addis commitments at global, regional and national level and how these could be improved for greater efficiency, and in particular the engagement of female Parliamentarians to ensure that adequate financing is available for implementation of gender related commitments in the Post2015/SDG agenda.
