On 22 January, the Women in Parliaments Global Forum (WIP) released the World Bank / WIP Study “The Female Political Career”, at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2015 in Davos.
José Manuel Barroso, Former President of the European Commission, Cherie Blair, Founder Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, Kathy Calvin, President UN Foundation, Ertharin Cousin, Executive Director World Food Programme, Géraldine Mukeshimana, Rwandan Minister of Agriculture, and Uschi Schreiber, Global Vice Chair – Markets and Chair of Global Accounts participated in the discussion about female leadership in Davos.
“The Female Political Career” is a joint study by WIP and The World Bank. Supported by EY. This study reflects survey results from 84 countries around the world designed to understand the hurdles women face in launching and sustaining successful political careers.
