Women Political Leaders (WPL) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), are partnering to bring the experience of women Parlamentarians at the meeting of the OECD Global Parliamentary Group on Artificial Intelligence (AI), a unique group of legislators working on AI with a global perspective.
The online meeting, scheduled on 2 December 2020 at 13:00 – 17:45 CET, is organised in partnership with the European Parliamentary Research Service (EPRS) and the European Parliament’s Panel for the Future of Science and Technology (STOA).
The meeting offers an opportunity for Members of Parliament and OECD experts to engage in a high-level dialogue concerning AI developments.
Joining the meeting is an opportunity for women Parliamentarians to share their insights and strategies regarding AI to generate important discussions on the future of AI, it’s benefits and implications, and how parliaments and societies can increase such benefits and decrease implications.
The meeting foresees the following sessions: an update on the work of the OECD in the area of AI, a session dedicated to lessons and priorities that have emerged from the COVID-19 crisis and a legislative learning space to exchange on AI-related initiatives taken in parliaments across the world.
The draft programme is available on the Parliamentary Network’s website.
