International Women’s Day 2022
High-level interviews with women leaders
Ensuring more women become leaders – in particular in politics and administration – to reverse their under-representation in the ranks of political power is high on the agenda. In the past decade or so, more women have been taking the leadership of powerful institutions and organisations like the IMF or the European Commission and more have been elected to political office.
While this shows progress, women only serve as elected heads of state or government in only 21 countries. According to the UN Women, at the current rate of progress, parity in the highest decisions of power will not be reached for another 130 years.
What can society learn from the women who have made it to the top? How can current efforts be sped up? WPL partners up with Politico to conduct high-level interviews with women leaders from the WPL Community.
