For the past year and a half, the world has been challenged by a global pandemic which has created new socio-economic and political challenges while exacerbating already existing inequalities. These global challenges demand united efforts, and motivated by a renewed sense of hope, the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) provides the space and opportunity for world leaders to plan new roads to a better and more equitable future.
On 23 September, during the UN General Assembly High-Level Meetings Week in September of 2021, Silvana Koch-Mehrin, President and Founder of WPL, participated in the Women CEOs Roundtable “Women Advancing Leadership.” This discussion focused on incorporating diversity in leadership and addressing issues surrounding the magnified effects of the pandemic on women in the workplace.
