Lidija Divjak Mirnik

Lidija Divjak Mirnik, Member of the National Assembly

Lidija Divjak Mirnik was born on July 20, 1973 in Murska Sobota. She is a professor of sociology and history and was employed as the director of the Student Dormitories of the University of Maribor. In her two terms, she successfully completed investments in the amount of EUR 20 million and renovated almost all old student dormitories. For the third term she is also a councilor in the Maribor City Council and for several years a volunteer at the Association of Friends of Youth, where she conducts personal growth workshops for young people in the colony. She is Vice-Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and is a Member of the following parliamentary committees: Relations with Slovenes Abroad, Education, Science, Sports, and Youth, and Culture.
