Martha Delgado Peralta is a public servant nationally and internationally renowned, with over 29 years of experience through the public Federal Administration and NGOs devoted to the protection of human rights.
In her position as Vice Minister of Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights she has been an advocate of Mexico ’s Female Foreign Policy, increasing the number of women in leadership and decision-making roles around the country. In 1995, she was part of the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China, providing fundamental groundwork for women ’s rights – an example still
followed to this day.
Her work has been crucial in the launching and implementation of the Spotlight Initiative in Mexico, which fights gender -based
discrimination and violence. She is outspokenly committed to achieving social and political equality on all platforms.
She has recently taken part in the Commission on the Status of Women and actively represents the Mexican government on the
Generation Equality Forum, promoting cooperation between countries and societies for the wellbeing of women and girls
around the world.
