The Women in Parliaments Global Forum (WIP) is hosting a Plenary Session at the Crans Montana African Women’s Forum entitled “The impact of Women in Parliaments in Islamic Society”, on 21 June 2014 in Rabat, Morocco. The event will focus on the political empowerment of female Parliamentarians in Islamic countries and their growing role in Islamic society.

This session will take place in the framework of the Annual Session of the Crans Montana Forum, entitled “Heading to the South-South, not only a strategy but a necessity”, from 19 to 22 June 2014 in Rabat, Morocco. Please find here the official programme.

The Annual Session of the Crans Montana Forum takes place every year in June and brings together about 1,000 key decision-makers at the highest level from Governments, International Organizations, Parliaments and Businesses from around the world. The initiative is supported by UNESCO and ISESCO as well as numerous other organisations.

The Crans Montana Forum is convinced that its 25th Annual Session will offer a privileged opportunity for women from around the world to talk about the role of women in modern Islamic society.
