Anoma Gamage, new WIP Ambassador for Sri Lanka

The Women in Parliaments Global Forum (WIP) is delighted to announce that Ms Anoma Gamage, Member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka, will serve as a WIP Ambassador for her country.
Anoma Gamage became a Member of the Parliament in 2010. She was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Agriculture in January 2015.  Gamage is now serving as the Deputy Minister of Petroleum Resources since September 2015.
Gamage is committed to promote women’s participation across all economic sectors to build stronger economies to achieve the sustainable development goals. Gamage is also committed to improve the quality of life for women by ensuring the health, safety and well-being of all women. She is also the Chairperson of the Eksath Lakvanitha Peramuna – the Women’s Wing of the ruling United National Party.
