WIP Council on Health – Middle East and North Africa Meeting

Following the successful launch of the WIP Working Council during the 2016 WIP Global Summit in Jordan, the WIP Working Council convened female Parliamentarians in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to discuss health barriers to women in the workplace in the region. This meeting took place at the Lebanese Parliament.

The objective of the MENA regional meeting was to convene members of the WIP Working Council in the MENA region to discuss the work plan of the Council. A selected group of participants  discussed how to write policies that address women’s health barriers around five toolkit areas. The outcome of the meeting will lead up to the discussion during next WIP Global Summit, during which members of the WIP Working Council from all regions participate in the Council’s global meeting.
