Season’s Greetings!

The Women in Parliaments Global Forum (WIP) mission is to advance society by building a network between Women in Parliaments around the world.

Looking back on 2013, the inaugural WIP Annual Summit, that was held the 27-29th November in the European Parliament in Brussels, with the participation of around 400 female politicians coming from more than 100 different countries, was a historic milestone. The three-days gathering was a big success and gave the opportunity to meet, to exchange experiences, to come up with new ideas and to enforce this community.

Outstanding international personalities have joined the WIP Advisory Board this year, convinced that together we can change the world: Muhammad Yunus, Jody Williams, Denis Mukwege, Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir, Viviane Reding, Olli Rehn, Mo Ibrahim, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, Tarja Halonen, Lakshmi Puri, Ertharin Cousin, Pascal Lamy, Alhaji Muhammad Mumuni, Sheikha Haya Rashed Al Khalifa, Zainab Bangura, Kathy Calvin, Benita Ferrero-Waldner, Jane Goodall, Laura Tyson, Ana Palacio and Saadia Zahidi.

“If you’re not scared of your dreams, they are not big enough” (Ellen Johnson Sirleaf). Let’s dream big and together advance society in 2014!

Happy Holidays!
