On 2-3 March, WIP joined the Conference of Women Parliamentarians from South East Europe (SEE) “Equal and Empowered – Stronger together”, at the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
The Conference gathered Members of Parliament, representatives of the executive branch of power, international organisations and independent experts. The meeting recognised the importance and benefits of networking amongst women politicians and the importance of the regional aspect of the efforts to promote gender equality.
This meeting also confirmed the aim of the SEE countries to close the gender gap and advance the position of women in their respective societies.
